Nishi Cares

Redefined pearls, for a redefined world

Those who care, make sure to share. Our founders Alique and Arka both have a determination to make a meaningful, positive impact. This resulted in the creation of Nishi Cares, a platform on which Nishi Pearls and various organizations partner to create limited-edition pieces whose net-proceeds all go towards a cause.

All the projects initiated under Nishi Cares has the objective of giving greater access to education; being for women newcomers in Canada through our Second Chance project, or for young musicians through the Pearl Accents project.

The Pearl Accents Project

The Pearl Accents program was launched by Nishi Pearls with and for the support of its partner, the Canadian Music Competition (CMC). The Pearl Accents bracelet is a limited edition piece designed to encourage hundreds of young musicians who every year take part in programs and competitions organized by the CMC. All net proceeds will go towards funding the national platform needed to receive and evaluate candidates as well as bursaries that are won by the top contenders to help them in the pursuit of their dreams.

A Word From Our

Co-Founder

“My sister Alique and I were both fortunate enough to grow up with musical influence in our lives. Having gone through the McGill Conservatory program at a young age, I know the amount of effort and dedication it takes to pursue this artform. Whereas I was lucky enough to have parents who provided both moral and financial support, not all young musicians have the luxury of taking the process for granted. By supporting the CMC in their commendable mission, we hope to make a difference in helping talented youth fulfill their potential and reach the heights that they deserve.”

Past Projects

Nishi Cares for Artsakh

The last time the international community was silent when Armenia was under attack, 1.5 million innocent civilians were dislocated and killed. Nishi Cares for Artsakh was an initiative to raise awareness on the current ongoing attacks by Azerbaijan and Turkey against the Artsakh Republic, once again aiming to ethnically cleanse Armenians. With this project, we promised to donate all our proceeds to the Armenia Fund, a humanitarian organization providing aid for the Republic of Artsakh. With your help, we raised 10,000$ – the total has been sent to the Armenia Fund. Thank you to everyone who shared & donated. We couldn’t have done it without you.

The Second Chance Project

The Second Chance program was launched by Nishi Pearls with the support of its partners, Fondation Y des Femmes and the YWCA of Montreal. The Second Chance Bracelet is a limited-edition piece designed to empower newly arrived women in Canada. All net proceeds will fund valuable specialized education for these women, providing them with the skills and confidence to find lasting employment.
